WPI inflation stays negative for 16th month, falls
0.91% in Februray
India's wholesale prices fell for the 16th straight month in February, with the Wholesale Price
Index (WPI) based inflation declining 0.91% compared with a 2.61% fall in the corresponding
period of the previous year.
Altico Capital appoints Kidwai as independent director
Non-banking finance company (NBFC) Altico Capital announced the appointment of ex-
HSBC India chief Naina Lal Kidwai as an independent non-executive director on its Board.
Altico Capital is one of the largest foreign-owned and controlled NBFCs by net worth, and at Rs
2,000 crore is well capitalised to capture loan growth opportunities being presented due to the
capital constraints in the banking system.
