India ranks 3rd in Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness
India’s renewable energy sector has been ranked third in the Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness
Index (RECAI) with China at second and the US on top.
The so-called emerging markets now represent half the countries in the 40-strong index, including four
African markets featuring in the top 30.
Just a decade ago, only China and India were attractive enough to compete with more developed
markets
for investment, EY said in the report.
While the top three countries maintained their ranking, Chile, Brazil and Mexico climbed higher in the
Index to be ranked in the top 10 at the fourth, sixth and seventh, respectively.
Germany at fifth and France at eighth fell in the latest ranking.

Wholesale inflation turns positive after 17 months
Wholesale price-based inflation turned positive after 17 months, posting an annual gain of 0.34% in
April, on rise in vegetables and pulses prices.
The April Wholesale Price Index-based inflation was at (-) 0.85% in March.
The annual rate of inflation, based on monthly WPI, stood at 0.34% (provisional) for the month of
April, 2016 as compared to (-)0.85% for the previous month data released today.
It was (-) 2.43% during the corresponding month of the previous year, showed the data.

थोकमू्य सूचकजंक आधजररत मुरज्फीनत 17 महीने बजद शूर्य से उपर ननकलकर अरैल मं 0.34 फीसदी हो गई।
स्र्ी और दजलं क े दजम बढऩे से थोक मुरज्फीनत मं यह तेर्ी आई है।
वपछले महीने मजचा मं थोकमू्य सूचकजंक आधजररत मुरज्फीनत शूर्य से 0.85 रनतशत थी।
सरकजर ्वजरज आर् र्जरी आंकडं क े अनुसजर , ‘ मजमसक थोकमू्य सूचकजंक आधजररत मुरज्फीनत की सजलजनज दर
शूर्य से ऊपर ननकलकर 0.34 फीसदी अ्थजई आंकडज हो गई र्ो रक वपछले महीने शूर्य से 0.85 फीसदी नीचे थी।
