River Ganga: -
point of origin: It originates from The Gangotri glacier in Uttarakhand near
Particular place is called Gaumukh.
Where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi river flows in two waves.
These two streams meet at a place called Devaprayag. From here, it was
known as the Ganga.
The other two branches of the river Alaknanda is Dhauliganga and
Vishnuganaga.
Dhauliganga and Vishnuganaga came to a place called Vishnuprayag.
Later, the Pindar river joins to the Alaknanda river. This place is called
Karnprayag.
Similarly, the meeting place of Alaknanda and Mandakini is called
Rudraprayag.
Finally, it joins the Bay of Bengal, its total length is 2525 km.
