Gurgaon ready for ‘Swachh Sarvekshan’
Swachh Sarvekshan’ is a survey commissioned by the Ministry of Urban
Development, that will be conducted by the Quality Council of India (QCI) to
assess sanitation and hygiene conditions of 75 major cities, including 53
cities with a population of above 10 lakh each and the State Capitals. The
survey will also confirm work done on construction of household and
community toilets.
Parameters— solid waste management has been given 60 per cent
weightage, followed by 30 per cent for availability and use of household
individual toilets and public and community toilets, besides 10 per cent for
city-level sanitation plans and Information, Education and Behaviour Change
Communication (IEBC) activities.

hit over 700 screens in Karnataka, Andhra
Pradesh and Telangana on New Year day.
