Govt plans DBT in fertiliser subsidy (Economic
Times)
Government plans to directly transfer the fertiliser subsidy to farmers and a pilot
project for the same is also being considered in 20 districts.
According to sources, the government is planning to conduct a pilot project in 20
districts for direct transfer of subsidy on phosphoric and potassic fertilisers to the
farmers.
RBI includes Abu Dhabi bank in Reserve Bank
Act (Economic Times)
The Reserve Bank today has included National Bank of Abu Dhabi PJSC (NBAD) in
the Second Schedule to the RBI Act.
National Bank of Abu Dhabi PJSC has been included in the Second Schedule to the
Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.

Economic Survey pegs GDP at 7-7.75%; pitches
for more reforms, GST (Business Standard)
The Economic Survey pegged the country's economic growth at a conservative
level of 7-7.75 per cent for the next fiscal, while pressing for more reforms,
subsidy cuts and sticking to fiscal consolidation timetable.
The current account deficit would remain low at 1-1.5 per cent of the GDP.
The pre-Budget document also proposed widening the tax net from 5.5 per cent
to more than 20 per cent.
It projected capital requirement for banks at around Rs 1.8 lakh crore by 2018-19.
The three-point agenda suggested by the Survey to push GDP growth rate to 8-10
per cent includes moving away from anti-market policies, major investment in
health and education and more focus on agriculture sector.
NITI Aayog to interact with public on General
Budget
Government thinks tank NITI Aayog, which provides policy support to the Centre
and the states, will interact directly with the citizens on the Union Budget.
In a first of its kind, one-on-one interaction with the public on the Union Budget,
NITI Aayog Vice Chairman, and noted economist, Arvind Panagariya, and NITI
Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant will host Google Hangouts, for two consecutive days, in
collaboration with MyGov.
