Introduction:
The Mathematical inequalities is a popular topic for examination point of view. Almost
in all the examinations a bunch of 5 questions are asked from the topic. So we should
give a special attention to this topic to increase the merit in our one day examinations.
Generally; in mathematical inequalities two/more linear/Quadratic/Cubic/Mixed
Equations are given and we are required to find the value(s) satisfying the given
equation(s) and then compare them to find the correct relation between the variables
involved.
It is to be noted that; in 99.99% cases in the exams; a pair of quadratic equations are
given to find the relation between the variables involved. So your main focus should be
to practice the inequalities of quadratic equations.
In forthcoming sections we will mainly focus to the inequalities of quadratic equations.
Format of the Question:
In the following questions; two equations are given. You are required to solve
them find the value(s) of the variable involved (let x and y) and then compare
them and then click the options:
(1) If >
(2) If <
(3) If ≥
(4) If ≤
(5) If = or the relation cannot be established
Note: The order of the options may differ in different questions. So you are not
required to cram these options. Just read out the question to get the
corresponding options for the given inequalities.
How to Approach the Quadratic Inequalities:
It involves two steps:
(1) To find the values satisfying the given quadratics.
(2) Comparing the values to get the correct relation.
To find the values satisfying the given Quadratics:
You may use either the following formula or the methdd of factorization to
solve the given quadratics.
