STOWMARKET & DISTRICT LIONS CLUB
The Lions Club Suffolk Charity Bike Ride took place on Sunday 19th June 2016. The event organised by Stowmarket Lions annually raises over £3,500 for charity.
The majority of riders (63%) rode the 100k challenge, exactly a third the 50k Intermediate Route and the remaining 4% the 25k Family Route. Between them, they cycled the equivalent of 12 times the length of the country from Land’s End to John O’Groats - 12,000km!
This year’s chosen charities are MacMillan Cancer Support and Lions Charities. The event made a profit of £3,760 last year and we are on track to do the same this year.
