OBITUARIES
These Lions of our Multiple District have recently left us. We honour their memory and the contribution they made in their Lionistic service for the good of others.
BEAUMONT: Lion Ron
Knutsford & District Lions Club is saddened to report the death of Ron who served the club loyally for over 30 years. Ron was Club President in 1990- 91 and Zone Chair in 1991-92. He was a dedicated Lion who served on the Fundraising and Social committees for many years. He will be sadly missed.

BECKETT: Lion Colin, BMA
Kirkham & Fylde Rural Lions Club. A dedicated member of the Club for 33 years, Lion Colin also served on Cabinet under many District Governors as the District Diabetes Officer and Medic Alert Officer for over 10 years. He was the proud recipient of the Bert Mason Award, which the Club bestowed on him for his work with youth.

BIRCH: Lion Frank (93)
The Lions Club of Tavistock. Lion Frank who joined the Club in 1981; during his time with the Club he had held the posts of Leo Liaison Officer, Community Services Chairman, Tail Twister and Membership Chairman. He was made a life member on his 90th birthday as an appreciation from the Club for his years of excellent service.

Lion Michael Box of Norfolk Broads Lions Club passed to higher service on 8th September.

BREWER: Lion Cindy (78)
Stamford and District Lions Club are sad to announce the passing of Lion Cindy, a dedicated Lion for 22 years. Past President and Zone Chairman, she helped the Club raise much needed funds for use in the local community. She will be greatly missed by fellow Lions, friends and family. Our condolences to her family.
BREWSTER: Lion Geoff
Helensburgh Lions Club. Geoff was a very active member for over 30 years. A prolific fundraiser he founded and organised our Golf Day for 25 years, he also coordinated our Race Nights. He was Club President on two occasions. He will be greatly missed by the members and the wider community.

CROSHAW: Lion Edith
Lancing and Sompting Lions Club. She was an excellent Lion for over 20 years and could always be called upon to visit other Clubs and was well known in the Zone. She was a very good raffle ticket seller and it took a brave person not to buy from her! Edith was very much loved and will be remembered fondly.

GASCOYNE: Lion Bob
Peterborough Lions Club Life Member Lion (and Honorary Lioness) Bob was a tireless worker for the improvement of other people’s lives, his efforts will be sorely missed in Murcia, Spain where he and his beloved Lion Rose retired to. Our love and thoughts are with Rose and Bob’s project A.F.E.M.C.E. Cieza, Murcia, Spain.

GRAY: Lion Reg (71)
Tenterden Lions Club. Lion Reg was a very active member of the Club as Treasurer and Risk Assessment Officer. He and Lion Joy were very much a team and achieved remarkable results with their joint fundraising efforts. The spirit of Lionism shone through in everything he did; he was a true gentleman, with a lovely unassuming nature, very quick wit and a ready smile.

Woodley & Earley Lions Club. Lion Ken was a dedicated member of the Club since 1992 and was held in high esteem

JAMIESON: Lion Bruce (80)
Selsey & District Lions Club are very sad to report the passing of Lion Bruce. He joined our Lions Club in 2008 and was always a keen member but did not seek office of any sort, but never the less volunteered for most things. He will sorely missed by family and
friends alike.

JOHNSTON: Mike
Nailsea Lions Club. Mike joined in 1989 and fulfilled numerous roles within the Club including President. He was a proud Welshman and is remembered recently for belting out the Welsh national anthem at the charity fundraiser with the Caerphilly Male Voice Choir. Mike was very family orientated and so proud of his daughters and granddaughters.

KEANE: Lion Tom (82) MJF
Howth/Sutton Lions Club. Tom was a Lion for over 19 years, serving as Club President in 2000/2001 and as Club Secretary from 2005 to 2015. His constant positive attitude was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. Sadly missed by all his colleagues, friends and family.
