KEARNEY: Lion Rosemary (Peggy)
Lions Club of Littleport. Although not physically active, Peggy always did what she could to help support the Club. This included producing some wonderful needlepoint pictures which were used at various club fundraisers. Peggy will be missed by the club and our thoughts are with her family, friends and neighbours.

KIMBERLEY: Lion William (Kim) (93)
Mersea Island Lions Club. A Charter Member of Colchester Lions Club in 1973, he was twice President in the early days and an active Lion for many years. He and his wife, Lion Margaret, the former Editor of LION, transferred to Mersea Island Club two years ago. Members’ sympathies are extended to Margaret and the family.

MACMILLAN: Lion Garrie (69)
Dover Lions Club. Lion Garrie had been a good friend and respected Club member for 37 years. He was very pro- active in the club’s fundraising activities and had served as President in 2001 and Treasurer for many years. Garrie was a true gentleman and one of the nicest people you could wish to know.

Gort and District Lions Club. A Charter member of the Club, Lion Gerry and held a number of offices with dedication and humour, and will be missed by all. Our thoughts are with his family.

Club. A member for over 22
years, he served in many different roles including President. He was a dedicated Lion and will be sadly missed by all. Our deepest sympathy goes to his wife Kath and the family.

Woolwich and Greenwich Lions Club. A member of some 15 years, Lion Sukhminder was a true dedicated Lion active not only in the Club but the community. Always present to serve and help in all activities, he was well respected by all. He will be greatly
missed both as a dedicated Lion and an invaluable friend.

Kenilworth Lions Club During his short term of membership, Lion Alan he made a significant contribution to the Club. He brought laughter, friendship and sunshine to all the members with his cheeky sense of humour. He will be greatly missed, the Club has lost a true friend and a Lion who served his community.

THOMAS: Lion Robert (Bob) MJF
The Lions Club of Plymouth. Lion Bob was a dedicated Lion having served the club for well over 40 years. Bob was always one of the first to become involved in helping others, and showed sincere compassion in whatever activity he was involved in. He was elected President on three occasions and his dedication to Lionism was recognised with a Melvin Jones Fellowship.

WILLIAMS: Lion Barry
Wirral Lions Club. A member for 29 years, Lion Barry was President of the Club in 1991/92 and participated fully in all the Club's activities, particularly
excelling in maintaining the Christmas Float. A very well respected member, Barry will be sorely missed by all and our deepest sympathy goes to his wife Diane.

WISE: Lion David
Henfield Lions Club are very sad to announce the death of former President Lion David. He retired last year for health reasons. A very hard worker particularly on fund raising activities, especially running the kitchen at various fund raising events. Our thoughts are with his wife, Lion Mavis and the family.

WOODROW: Lion Bob (83) MJF
Gillingham Lions Club. Since 1990, Lion Bob was a very dedicated member who served as Community Service Chairman for many years and was well known in the Medway Towns for his caring attitude to those in need. It was a privilege to know him.

WORBEY: PDG Lion Cecil (88) MJF
Hitchin Lions Club. A Charter Member of the Club, Lion Cecil served as District Governor for 105-A in 1982/3. In 1984 he took over as Chairman of the B&I Lion (now LION) Management Committee, and was a superb guide and support throughout his term of office to
newly-appointed Editor Margaret Kimberley. The development of the
magazine down the years owes much to his input and guidance.
Through his work with Lions, Cecil played a leading role with the Leonard Cheshire Home and devoted much time to charitable
causes. He used to be a keen photographer and amateur Radio fan, and as a member of the Bedford
Steam Engine Society organised the manning of the gates at the annual steam rally and involved local Lions Clubs, making it a major fund raising event. He will be remembered as a charming, fair minded and loving person, a dedicated Lion and as always having a twinkle in his eye.

WRIGHTON: Lion Tony
The Lions Club of Looe are deeply shocked to announce the sudden death of a stalwart of the Club in Tony Wrighton. Tony is a past President and for many years looked after the mini bus and served as Welfare Officer. What a “card”, he will be hard to replace.
