Y Bwthyn Newydd is part of Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University NHS Trust and has provided a warm and friendly environment and a Specialist Palliative Care Service since it opened its doors in 1997 to individuals suffering with cancer, their relatives, carers and children.
Bridgend Lions has supported this
hospice since the beginning and provided funding to set up a family room. Recently, the Club has donated a further £1,000 by fundraising at various fetes throughout the Spring/Summer months. This money will be used to provide children’s amenities whilst visiting parents, grandparents and other family members who are patients.
